Monotype/monoprinting

Monoprinting is a type of printmaking where the intent is to make unique prints.  Other methods of printmaking create editioned multiples, the monoprint is editioned as 1 of 1

Monotypes are known as the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques; it is essentially a printed painting. The characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike. The beauty of this medium is also in its spontaneity and it is a combination of printmaking, painting and also drawing media.

The D.G.F prosess often starts with drawing or monotypes on paper or paining on a canvas.  Then the artwork get digitalized with a camera or scanner.  

The next step is to manipulate and change/add effects, photos etc to make an entirely new piece of artwork.

Much of my DGA work centers on abstract portraiture, emotional introspection, and the blending of realism with expressive, textured backgrounds. I want to invite the viewers to contemplate identity and emotions connected to the human experience.

I paint both with only acrylics or multimedia paintings. 

Multimedia art is a dynamic form of artistic expression that uses more than one medium to engage the viewer. I use;
